Aramid, the full name of which is "poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide)," is a new type of synthetic fiber with ultra-high strength and high modulus. It is only 1/5 of the weight of steel, 5-6 times the strength of steel, 2-3 times the modulus of steel, and 2 times the toughness of steel. It is soft to the touch, has good spinnability, and has good insulation, anti-aging, flame retardancy, and heat resistance.
